During the 2026 NFL offseason, the Los Angeles Rams explored potential moves to add star wide receiver A.J. Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles . In the midst of those talks, reports came out that the Rams considered trading Davante Adams in order to add Brown, which head coach Sean McVay later confirmed.
The move never materialized, and Brown would eventually be traded to the New England Patriots. If circumstances were different, there's a good chance Adams could've departed one year after joining the team.
Adams was asked by reporters on Saturday about those rumors, choosing to take the professional high road and avoid making those talks a personal gripe.
"I'm a teenager in this league now, so, I mean, you got to understand there's certain things that each team, you know, does or has to do in order to -- just from top to bottom -- it's just the way that this business goes," stated…
