Fifty-two student-athletes filed a lawsuit against the NCAA on Thursday, July 30, seeking an extra year of eligibility in North Carolina.
According to multiple reports, the lawsuit is seeking a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction for more than 50 student-athletes to play this upcoming 2025-26 college basketball season after the NCAA adjusted its eligibility guidelines last month to a five-year model.
Headlining the list of student-athletes is former North Carolina State forward Darrion Williams , while former Ohio State guard Tyana Todd is the lone women's basketball player listed as a plaintiff, according to Field of 68 Network's Jeff Goodman.
