Carlos Beltran had more options than most as he stewed on the decision about which team would adorn his cap on his bronze plaque in the National Baseball Hall of Fame.
The nine-time All-Star outfielder, with three Gold Gloves, two Silver Sluggers and a World Series crown to his credit, could have picked any of the seven teams across his 20-year career. After being elected in his fourth year on the Baseball Writers Association of America ballot, Beltran settled on the New York Mets .
As the five-tool center fielder was inducted in Cooperstown on Sunday afternoon, he shared the reasoning why after spending seven of his seasons between 2005-11 in Flushing.
