The Alabama football program got a big recruiting win on Sunday.
According to On3/Rivals’ Hayes Fawcett, Alabama got a commitment from four-star linebacker Tysir Young. Young chose Alabama over other top schools, including Miami, Oregon, Ohio State, Georgia, and Rutgers.
Young is the top recruit in his home state (Delaware), and the No. 13 edge recruit in the nation, per 247Sports Composite rankings . He’s also the No. 105 overall recruit in the country.
Young is Alabama’s seventh recruit in its 2028 class and is the program’s second-highest recruit in the class.
