The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has accused the Federal Government of using state institutions to advance the political agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The party alleged that reports of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) contracting a long-standing political ally of the President for election logistics, as well as the appearance of the Lagos State Commissioner of Police at the launch of the pro-Tinubu City Boy Movement, demonstrate a disregard for public sensitivity.
Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary of the party, said this reflects a dangerous pattern in which partisan actors are being positioned to handle sensitive election materials, while state institutions expected to remain neutral are being brazenly drawn into partisan politics.
