The Zamfara State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to improving access to quality education for girls through stronger collaboration with the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Project.
The commitment was reaffirmed during a meeting between the AGILE Project team, led by the State Project Coordinator, Hajiya Sa'adatu Abdu Gusau, and the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Abdulmalik Abubakar Gajam, in Gusau.
The meeting reviewed the implementation of the project and explored strategies to improve girls' enrolment, retention and completion of basic and secondary education across the state.
Speaking at the meeting, Gajam said Governor Dauda Lawal's administration places high priority on education reforms, particularly initiatives that expand learning opportunities for girls and other vulnerable groups.
