Why he was missing for two weeks: Serie A pro makes contact Yesterday, we reported that Serie A player Lameck Banda had been missing from his club Lecce for two weeks after failing to show up for the start of training. Now, the striker has finally sent a sign that he is alive and well.
On Instagram, Banda appeared from a gym in his home country of Zambia. The reason he left his club in the dark for two weeks likely has to do with his current contract situation.
As the 'Gazzetta dello Sport' reports, citing Zambian media, Banda had apparently never wanted to extend his deal with the Italian club. According to the report, Banda’s contract, which had originally been due to expire in the summer of 2026, was extended by another year without his knowledge.
