From the start of the offseason, it looked like the Golden State Warriors' Plan A, B and C in free agency revolved around bringing LeBron James to the Bay Area. Recruiting pitches from Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, nostalgic memories of their Olympic run in Paris in 2024 and the idea of pairing two of the faces of the game on the same roster fueled rumors of James bringing his talents to the Bay Area.
While the Warriors appeared to be team James was considering, the future Hall of Famer made his decision on Friday, opting for the Philadelphia 76ers as his next team. Instead of suiting up alongside Curry, James will join Jaylen Brown, Tyrese Maxey, VJ Edgecomb and Joel Embiid in a new-look Sixers lineup in the Eastern Conference.
