The New England Patriots haven't even put on the pads yet at training camp, and the battle wounds are already starting to show.
At Tuesday's practice, veteran cornerback Carlton Davis III went down with an apparent injury during 7-on-7s. He was initially replaced with Kindle Vildor, but then Charles Woods took first-team reps in his place during 11-on-11s, before he also went down with an injury.
Woods left the field with both arms around trainers.
Davis is obviously the Patriots ' No. 2 cornerback across from Christian Gonzalez, but Woods has served as a reliable depth option for the team. The status of both players is something to keep an eye on in the coming days.
