Summary: Anderson Mitchell has two first names, and up until 2025 had two positions on the football field. The two way stud from the Lexington version of Christian Academy walked on to the Cards a few seasons ago and was looking to scoop up a few passes in the Brohm offense as a wideout. As the room went through multiple changes and multiple pieces, Mitchell found a home on the other side of the ball more permanently and will likely be seeing time at safety or defensive back when his number is called.
While I would expect to see Anderson on special teams first before we see him trot out at safety, there may be some reps in the second level as the Cards have a combination of new faces and some injuries to fight through in the fall. I don’t anticipate Mitchell being a household…
