Texas A&M basketball coach Bucky McMillan enters his second season at the helm after leading the Aggies to the NCAA Tournament during his inaugural campaign, which was built from the transfer portal, while forward Rashaun Agee led the team in scoring and rebounds during his final collegiate season.
After defeating Saint Mary's in the first round, the Aggies were no match for the Houston Cougars in the Round of 32, but nonetheless accomplished their goal of reaching the postseason after losing star transfer forward Mackenzie Mgbako just seven games into non-conference play.
This offseason, several key starters/reserves will return for the 2027 season, while McMillan and his staff landed six players from the transfer portal, including the program's crown jewel, former Kansas State shooting guard PJ Haggerty, who averaged nearly 24 points per game last season with the Wildcats.
