CRANSTON — Game planning wasn’t necessary for Lincoln Little League Baseball.
Milo Sheridan was the only needed blueprint to force a winner-take-all championship game against Barrington. The Lincoln righty tossed a two-hit gem behind a dazzling fastball on Thursday, July 30 in Cranston.
Lincoln plated two runs with consecutive sacrifice flies in the first inning and that was plenty as Sheridan handed Barrington a 2-1 defeat. The final is slated for Friday at 6 p.m. back in Cranston.
“He just overpowered them,” Lincoln manager Kevin Greene said. “He just threw 85 fastballs, there was not one off-speed thrown. He made my life easy — I didn’t have to call a pitch tonight. We just went and said shove and that’s what he did.”
Sheridan, who went 5 2/3 innings with an earned run and one walk, entered the sixth inning eight pitches away from the 85-pitch limit. He fanned the first batter in…
