Minnesota Timberwolves guard LaMelo Ball and his manager are facing a lawsuit alleging they skipped paying rent on a luxury apartment in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The lawsuit filed in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina Superior Court and obtained by USA TODAY Sports adds to the allegation that Ball and his manager, Jermaine Jackson, owe Agape Property Management hundreds of thousands of dollars.
In May, Agape Property Management – a company tied to former Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton's family – accused the two of owing $164,700 on a 3,000-square-foot apartment with a $15,000-per-month rent. In 2020, Ball and Agape Property Management Group secured a deal for the 2022 NBA All-Star to rent two luxurious apartments in a posh uptown Charlotte condominium complex.
