A poor run of form has now seen the Mariners sink below the .500 mark after another defeat on Friday evening took their record to 51-53.
Dan Wilson’s side look like a shadow of the Mariners team that advanced to the playoffs last year alongside the high-flying Cal Raleigh.
As frustration grows within the fanbase in Seattle, their marketing team is seemingly looking for ways to keep the fans on side by playing into the latest local trend.
Jimothy the raccoon has gone viral across the world after his recent sightings in Seattle and the Mariners paid tribute to the much-loved animal through their warm-up t-shirts.
