Heading into the 2026 NFL Draft, there was a lot of trade speculation and chatter regarding the Atlanta Falcons and their former top-five overall pick, tight end Kyle Pitts.
In the end the Falcons either didn't get an offer they liked or decided that they'd rather keep Pitts and bank on his 2025 breakthrough as a positive trend and not an aberration.
So, Matt Ryan and the rest of Atlanta's new-look front office re-signed Pitts to a big contract, totaling $54 million over three years.
With the 2026 season just a handful of weeks away, Pitts is earning more accolades. Pro Football Focus has a new list of rankings out for the top 32 tight ends in the NFL . Pitts made the cut, coming in at No. 8 on their list, one spot ahead of aging Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce.
