Part of what makes Danny Ainge such a special NBA executive is his constant willingness to improve. Regardless of where his team is timeline-wise, if the right opportunity emerges, he seizes it.
Just look at the Utah Jazz's trade for Jaren Jackson Jr. at the trade deadline. The franchise was still ... uh ... actively trying to preserve its lottery odds *wink wink* ... yet still swung a trade for a former All-Star and Defensive Player of the Year.
Examples like Jackson are the exact reason that it should be no surprise if a report emerges that Utah is interested in a potential sign-and-trade scenario with the Denver Nuggets for Peyton Watson.
Watson, 23, was reportedly offered a five-year, $70 million contract from Denver, but the Milwaukee Bucks, Atlanta Hawks and Los Angeles Clippers have expressed interest in acquiring the versatile wing.
