The England international had two years remaining on the deal he signed after joining from Leicester City in 2023, but Newcastle announced Monday that he has extended his stay at St. James’ Park following the best campaign of his career.
“It feels great to sign this new contract so early before the new season starts,” Barnes said. “It’s been an amazing journey so far and I’m delighted to continue that.
