The Golden State Warriors were a much-discussed free agency landing spot for LeBron James until he ultimately signed with the Philadelphia 76ers . Draymond Green has an indication why James didn't join him and Stephen Curry in the Bay Area.
In an episode of The Draymond Green Show , Green says the lengthy history between James and the Warriors factored into his decision to go elsewhere. James' Cleveland Cavaliers battled the Warriors in four consecutive NBA Finals, with the Cavaliers coming back from a 3-1 deficit in 2016 for their lone title win over that stretch.
"I ultimately don't think Bron was ever able to get over the history and I understand it, I get it," Green said . "... He's gonna get crushed if he comes to the Warriors.
