Michael Kim is one of the better follows on X . Now he'll have a lot more to chat about with golf fans.
In the second round of the 2026 3M Open on Friday, Kim posted the 15th 59 (and 16th sub-60 round) in PGA Tour history.
Kim's scorecard was a series of circles. He made five birdies in a row on Nos. 3 through 7, tacked on two more straight birds on Nos. 9 and 10, had another on 12 and two more in a row on Nos. 15 and 16.
That left him the par-3 17th and the par-5 18th to go. After hitting the green on 17, he faced a 17-footer for birdie and he drained it. That put him to 11 under with a hole to go.
The par-5 closer was playing 577 yards Friday with a big hooking dogleg right shape to the green. Golfers going for it in two are generally hitting a shot of about 230 or so yards over a large body of water.
