EA Sports unveiled the initial Madden NFL 27 rookie ratings on Tuesday, and the New York Giants landed two of the highest marks in the class.
Linebacker Arvell Reese, the fifth overall pick out of Ohio State, received a 79 overall rating and tied for fifth among all rookies. Right guard Francis Mauigoa, selected 10th overall from Miami, checked in at 78 and tied for ninth.
The rest of the Giants' rookie class received the following overall ratings:
Cornerback Colton Hood (75) Wide receiver Malachi Fields (73) Offensive lineman J.C. Davis (67) Defensive tackle Bobby Jamison-Travis (66) Long snapper Ben Mann (65) Linebacker Jack Kelly (65) Of note, kicker Dominic Zvada did not receive a rating despite the near certainty that he will serve as the Giants' starting kicker this season.
