(Photo by Image Photo Agency/Getty Images) | Getty Images Joao Cancelo is set to link back up with Al-Hilal this week as the Saudi Pro League club continue pre-season preparations in Austria.
The defender has been enjoying some time off after World Cup 2026 but is due back on Wednesday, according to the latest from Arriyadiyah .
Barcelona are still hoping to complete a permanent deal for Cancelo, following another successful loan stint last season, but are yet to reach an agreement with Al-Hilal.
The report adds that Al-Hilal are open to offers to buy out Cancelo’s contract which still has a year left to run.
Cancelo is also keen to move on and has made no secret of his affection for Barcelona. He arrived back at Barcelona for a second stint last winter and went on to play 23 matches, scoring twice and adding three assists.
