For just the second time this season, NASCAR Cup Series fans won’t have a points race to watch this weekend.
Following last Sunday’s Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, the Cup Series is taking its second scheduled off weekend of the 2026 season before returning next week at Iowa Speedway. The brief pause gives teams, drivers and crew members a chance to recharge before the final four races of the regular season and the push toward the NASCAR Playoffs.
While there won’t be any Cup Series action this weekend, NASCAR fans will still have plenty of racing and original programming to follow across several platforms.
Why Is the NASCAR Cup Series Off This Weekend? Unlike most weeks during the season, NASCAR intentionally schedules a couple of off weekends each year. The first one this season was for the Easter weekend.
