New England Patriots quarterback Drake Maye is still in the running to earn the No. 1 overall spot on the NFL Top 100 Players of 2026 list this summer.
According to the NFL’s Grant Gordon, Maye is one of 12 contenders with viable shots at earning the top spot in this year’s NFL 100 rankings after his superb season in 2025.
”2025 AP NFL Most Valuable Player runner-up was youngest player in NFL history to lead league in completion percentage (72.0, team record); Pro Bowler also led league in passer rating (113.5) and passing yards per attempt (8.9), ultimately guiding Patriots to Super Bowl LX,” Gordon wrote.
Maye had a season of note in 2025. He was one of the most successful players in the league from an individual and team standpoint last season. In only his second NFL season, he racked up 4,394 passing yards, 31 touchdowns and eight interceptions, earning All-Pro honors for his…
