Every single time Todd Eason went to watch Yan Diomande play soccer, he felt like he might finally have found a challenge beyond the teenager from the Ivory Coast.
By the time he left the pitch, or turned off his television, he was wrong.
"I have not seen a ceiling that would contain Dio at this point. I still have not."
From 2021 to 2024, Eason was the director of soccer at DME Academy, an educational institute and private sports training facility in Daytona Beach, Florida. In 2023, he welcomed several African players to his high school for the first time, including a 15-year-old Diomande.
