The New York Giants have several key position battles this summer at training camp, but none may be more important than the one at placekicker.
Ben Sauls, who closed out the 2025 season as the Giants' kicker, hitting all eight field goal tries and all seven point-after attempts in the team's final three games, is defending his job against Dominic Zvada, a strong-legged undrafted free agent (UDFA) out of Michigan.
On Wednesday, at the Giants' first practice of their 2026 training camp at The Greenbrier in West Virginia, both kickers attempted five field goals in special teams drills.
Giants' field goal competition results from Day 1:
• Ben Sauls: 4-5 in ST period (missed from 43, long 51) • Dominic Zvada: 3-5 in ST period (missed from 33 and 42, long 51)
They ended practice with an 11-on-11 two-minute drive in a tie game. Sauls made a 47-yard game-winner…
