The Baseball Hall of Fame induction ceremony took place on Sunday afternoon and included San Francisco Giants' Jeff Kent , Atlanta Braves' Andruw Jones and Carlos Beltran, who entered Cooperstown as a member of the Mets .
Despite similar numbers with New York as he had with the Kansas City Royals, who he broke into the league with, Beltran chose to don a Mets cap in the Hall of Fame after spending seven seasons in Queens because of what the city and organization meant to him, not only as a player, but in life once his playing days were over.
"It means a lot when I think about my career and I think about the choices that I had," Beltran said in a video conference on Sunday.
