WNBA All-Star Kelsey Plum appears to be on the trading block ahead of the league's trade deadline.
The Los Angeles Sparks ' 31-year-old guard reportedly did not intend to re-sign with the organization at the end of the season, according to The Athletic . Plum signed a one-year, $999,999 deal with the Sparks in April 2026.
Plum turned down the WNBA's new-supermax deal worth up to $1.4 million. Instead, she wanted to provide the team with roster flexibility. Months later it appears the two sides are ready to part ways. The Sparks plan to move Plum before the deadline, according to the Los Angeles Times.
There are a few options around the league that would suit Plum. The former WNBA Sixth Player of the Year and five-time All-Star deserves to be in a situation where her talent can be maximized, while having the opportunity to play meaningful basketball in the postseason.
