Detroit's top prospect is coming to the majors.
The Detroit Tigers are promoting center fielder Max Clark from Triple-A Toledo, according to a report from Baseball America's Emily Waldon .
The Tigers drafted Clark at No. 3 overall in the first round of the 2023 MLB Draft out of Franklin, Indiana.
Despite a poor showing during spring training in 2026, Clark has produced in his first season in Triple-A, hitting .276 with 11 home runs, 42 RBIs and 21 stolen bases in 90 games entering Thursday. Clark came in at No. 14 in Baseball Prospectus' midseason prospect rankings, dropping eight spots from his preseason ranking but still placing among the top prospects in baseball.
And with the Tigers' season taking a disappointing turn, the organization has indicated that Clark is ready for a major-league challenge.
