A former Spartans guard finds himself in an interesting position with his new team.
Former Michigan State men's basketball guard Divine Ugochukwu is one of only four active players on the LSU roster at the moment. Yes, that is right, only four active players listed on the Tigers' official roster .
Ugochukwu elected to jump into the transfer portal late in the window, becoming the lone Spartan to leave via the portal this offseason. He ended up at LSU with new head coach Will Wade, who took a unique path to build out his roster. This included adding a number of international players and players that were attempting to regain college eligibility, but that plan has been mostly foiled by the new five-in-five rule from the NCAA. So now, Ugochukwu is currently part of a roster that is simply lacking players.
