Jul. 24—RAPID CITY, S.D. — The road to a South Dakota Class A Senior American Legion baseball championship begins Tuesday, July 28 in Rapid City, while the Class B Legion state tournament begins Friday, July 31 in Madison.
The Class A opening-round action features four games on Tuesday, July 28, with the double-elimination tournament continuing through Saturday, Aug. 1 at Fitzgerald Stadium in Rapid City. The championship is scheduled for 2 p.m. Central time Saturday, with a winner-take-all-second game slated for 30 minutes after the opener if the team emerging from the elimination bracket hands the winner's bracket champion its first loss.
No. 2 Sioux Falls West Post 15 faces No. 8 Harrisburg Gold Post 45 in Tuesday's first game at 11 a.m. Central time. The remaining first-round contests include No. 4 Brandon Valley Post 131 taking on Brookings Post 74 at 2 p.m. Central, followed by…
