Despite the ongoing contract negotiations, New England Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez showed up for training camp.
For those wondering about the extent of his participation, Gonzalez is expected to participate in practice, according to Patriots coach Mike Vrabel on Friday.
“He is here. I expect him to participate,” Vrabel said . “So, those contract negotiations are ongoing between the club and his agents. And I’m excited about having Christian back here with us and the impact he can make on our football team. Really enjoy the person, enjoy the player, and that’s what I’m looking forward to.”
Gonzalez's contract situation has been one of the biggest stories of the offseason.
