The Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Hon. Kasim Mohammed Ikwa, has warned that all illegally constructed corner shops in Zuba will be demolished, condemning the unauthorised sale and development of such structures.
Ikwa gave the warning during an unscheduled inspection of affected areas around Zuba Roundabout, behind Living Faith Church, Car Wash, Fruit Market and Panteker Market on Saturday.
He said the inspection followed reports of ongoing illegal sales and construction of corner shops in parts of Zuba.
The chairman condemned the activities of individuals erecting shops on land that does not belong to them.
According to him, many of the illegal structures have prevented the rightful owners from accessing and developing their properties.
He directed those responsible for selling the illegal shop spaces to refund buyers immediately, stressing that the council would not…
