Colts’ PUP list contained another notable omission

(Photo by Justin Casterline/Getty Images) | Getty Images On Monday, the Indianapolis Colts announced that both starting wide receiver Alec Pierce (ankle) and projected starting rookie linebacker CJ Allen (calf) would begin training camp on PUP.

The former wasn’t a surprise at all, as Pierce is expected to return later on in training camp from a purported minor cleanup surgery on his injured ankle earlier this offseason.

However, Allen’s injury is a new one and came as a surprise, as he apparently aggravated his calf during a workout, although it’s not expected to be a long-term injury by any means.

That being said, there’s still one notable omission from the Colts’ PUP list, as…
