Firing Hubert Davis was a long-overdue decision for the UNC men's basketball team, which didn't take long to find its next head coach.
The Tar Heels hired from outside their "Carolina Family," landing longtime NBA Coach and 2023 Champion Michael Malone . Despite North Carolina being Malone's first collegiate head coaching gig, college ball is becoming increasingly professionalized with NIL money and the transfer portal.
Combine Malone with general manager Jim Tanner , UNC should annually have one of the best rosters and compete for National Championships, according to recent CBS Sports predictions .
