The Arizona Cardinals and veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett have reportedly come to terms on a revised contract, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler .
Brissett was set to play the 2026 season on the second year of a two-year deal that would have paid him just $4.88 million in base salary.
This reworked deal will give him starting quarterback money. ESPN’s Ian Rapoport reported that it is a 1-year deal that is worth $15.5 million and can max out at $21 million with contract incentives.
Brissett joined the Arizona Cardinals ahead of the 2025 season as the backup to Kyler Murray. After the dual-threat quarterback went down with an injury in Week 5, Brissett was thrust into the starting role.
The veteran QB ended up starting the final 12 Cardinals games of the season. While Arizona tallied only a 1-11 record, Brissett threw for 3,366 yards with 23 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
