WNBA All-Star Weekend tipped off Friday as players took the court for practice at the new Obama Presidential Center in Chicago.
The WNBA will host its All-Star Weekend from July 24-25, and the All-Star Game will take place on the 25. Barack Obama, who was the 44th president of the United States of America, surprised all 22 All-Star players as he arrived to greet them.
The 2026 WNBA All-Stars became the first pros to play on the new "Home Court" inside Chicago's Obama Presidential Center, which opened this year. Obama stopped by to cheer, take selfies, and chat with players.
The 44th president also played a brief one-on-one against forward Jonquel Jones. He gave guard Caitlin Clark a special shoutout and advice on how to navigate the professional lane. He also interacted with forwards Angel Reese and A'ja Wilson ahead of the All-Star Game.
