The Arizona Cardinals drafted guard Chase Bisontis in the second round this year, and most believe he will end up as the starting right guard, replacing Isaiah Adams, who started 11 games last season and the final five of 2024, his rookie season.
However, Adams has been steadily maintaining the starting job. He took all the first-team snaps in the offseason program and has been with the starters in training camp almost the entire time.
Head coach Mike LaFleur has been impressed by Adams' progress so far.
"I think he's a strong and sturdy dude on the inside, and you think about his journey from Canada and Illinois and all the things, getting kind of that next-level education of football a little bit later than some of these other guys, so you knew there was a 'developmental' aspect of him when he was coming out," he said on Wednesday.
