The Chiefs traded first-, third- and fifth-round picks to move up and draft cornerback Mansoor Delane sixth overall, so when he was knocked out of Organized Team Activities with a shoulder injury, it was a concern. But it doesn't sound like a big concern going forward.
Chiefs coach Andy Reid addressed reporters on Friday as the team reported to training camp, and he said Delane was in the process of getting medical clearance to practice.
"Delane right now is having his final physical. Right now. So he's right in the process of that and is doing well there," Reid said.
The precise details of how Delane suffered the injury are not known, but Reid indicated it was a matter of going too hard during offseason work.
