Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell has built a reputation as one of the NFL's premier quarterback developers, but if Kyler Murray is competing for the Vikings' starting job in 2026, the first objective won't be spectacular play.
According to SKOR North Minnesota Sports ' Judd Zulgad , the focus will be on proving he can consistently execute the offense while delivering solid, dependable production.
Discussing what O'Connell would be looking for during training camp, Zulgad said the baseline begins with Murray's ability to operate an offensive system unlike any he has previously played in.
