T he Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) has recorded a significant boost in its debt recovery efforts, recovering N165 billion in the first half of 2026.
The corporation is also advancing plans to reposition NTEL as a competitive telecommunications company ahead of a strategic divestment programme.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of AMCON, Mr. Gbenga Alade, disclosed this during an interactive session with the media in Lagos at the weekend.
He also disclosed that the corporation had begun the process of divesting its interests in the telecommunications sector following the successful sale of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC).
