Abdukodir Khusanov signs new long-term contract with Manchester City
Manchester City have confirmed Abdukodir Khusanov has signed a new five-year contract, keeping him at the club until 2031.
Khusanov has significantly enhanced his reputation as one of the best young defenders in Europe after joining Man City in January 2025.
The 22-year-old endured a shaky debut for City, as he struggled in his first Premier League match against Chelsea.
But he has steadily improved his game, and enjoyed an impressive campaign last season, amassing 37 appearances across all competitions.
Khusanov became a mainstay in the defence during the second half of the season after injuries to Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol, helping his team win the FA Cup and League Cup trophies.
The talented centre-back also represented Uzbekistan at the World Cup 2026. He started all three group games as his country…
