According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Shanahan broke his nose, three ribs, and his hand, and needed over 40 stitches in his face. Shanahan also suffered a severe concussion after colliding with an SUV near his northern California home, according to Schefter.
According to the statement issued by the team, Shanahan’s injuries were non-life-threatening:
