Philadelphia delivered its most complete performance of the season Saturday in an 18-8 victory over Denver, pairing its trademark production from Michael Sowers and CJ Kirst with the balanced offense and midfield efficiency it had been searching for through most of the first eight games.
The Waterdogs entered the matchup at Peter Barton Stadium with four one-goal victories and a negative scoring margin despite sitting near the top of the standings. Against the Outlaws, there was nothing lucky about the result.
Philadelphia scored seven goals in the opening quarter, five of them assisted, and reached halftime with a season-high 14 goals as the offense consistently created quality looks around the field.
