Max Verstappen reflected on his stunning overtake on Lewis Hamilton during the Hungarian Grand Prix , a race in which the Dutchman fought back brilliantly to secure second place after Oscar Piastri's retirement.
Speaking immediately after the race, Verstappen reflected on the move that proved pivotal to his afternoon, explaining that he spotted a single opportunity to pass Hamilton and committed to it. The Dutchman added that the Red Bull's strong braking performance played a key role, while stressing that the overtake was fully under control.
"I saw the opportunity. It was my only one. I just went for it. We're good on the brakes, so that helped, but it was all under control."
