The Kentucky Wildcats alumni squad, La Familia, knocked off Kansas-themed JHX Hoops in the TBT Alumni Finals by a final score of 78-65. The Wildcats sent the Jayhawks home thanks to Archie Goodwin, who hit a fadeaway jumper to seal the game.
Even though head coach Jon Hood and general manager Twany Beckham dealt with some roster complications early on in this summer tournament, this team has found its groove and is hungry for a TBT championship.
La Familia will await the winner of Davis Steel or The Mecca in the non-alumni bracket. Those two teams will face off on Thursday night for a spot in the Championship game against La Familia in Lexington.
Basketball is always a big deal in Lexington, no matter what time of the year it is, and it’s been a special couple of weeks watching all these former Cats win an alumni championship, as they’re now one game away from a TBT title and $2…
