The man behind Top Gear's iconic Stig has revealed his identity as he sues the BBC over the horror crash that left Freddie Flintoff with life-changing injuries.
Professional racing driver Paul Rees, who portrayed the silent, white-suited character between 2019 and 2022, is seeking damages after claiming he repeatedly warned about safety concerns before the crash.
Flintoff suffered serious facial injuries in December 2022 when the open-topped Morgan Super 3 he was driving overturned during filming at the Top Gear test track.

The former England cricketer later reached a reported £12 million compensation settlement with the BBC , with the motoring show subsequently being shelved.
Now, Rees has claimed he was 'thrown under the bus' by the broadcaster in the aftermath of the accident.
