Tony Romo - Mary Kouw / CBS via Getty Images Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback and current CBS Sports analyst Tony Romo has been arrested on suspicion of operating a vehicle while under the influence in Wisconsin.
Romo was pulled over at 6:18 CDT in Milwaukee on Thursday, July 23, according to NBC News , where he was arrested after allegedly failing a sobriety test. He was going southbound on Interstate 43. Taken into custody, Romo has since been booked and released with a court date currently scheduled for September 21, which would coincide with Monday night of the NFL’s Week 2 slate.
The top CBS matchup that weekend is expected to be the Pittsburgh Steelers visiting the AFC-champion New England Patriots. Romo’s arrest came just hours after he’d wrapped an interview with NBC’s affiliate WTMJ.
