The biggest transfer fees paid by Chelsea following Rogers signing Chelsea have once again broken the bank to sign a new player, breaking the British transfer record to buy Morgan Rogers from Aston Villa.
The England international set the Blues back a cool £117 million, edging out the £116 million Manchester City paid Nottingham Forest for Elliot Anderson, making him the most expensive English footballer of all time.
Rogers is Chelsea’s fourth signing of the summer, taking their gross spend so far to £222 million. It is just the third time they have spent over £100 million on a player, but few would bet against them doing it again in the future.
