Arizona State basketball head coach Randy Bennett is set to have a surprising face on his coaching staff for the 2026-27 season.
That would be Joe Few , a player who Bennett coached against from the 2021-22 season through the 2024-25 season, when Few played for Gonzaga and Bennett was the head coach at Saint Mary's. Perhaps even more notably, Few is the son of Bennett's longtime coaching rival, Gonzaga all-time great head coach Mark Few.

Bennett was a head coach at Saint Mary's every year since the 2001-02 season. Mark Few was the head coach for the Zags since the 1999-2000 season. Hence, they overlapped in the West Coast Conference during the past 25 seasons.
