There are very few players in MLB history with crossover legacies with both the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees.
Babe Ruth, of course, is the most famous.
One of the others, though, is Johnny Damon.
Damon was a World Series champion with the Red Sox on their curse-breaking 2004 team.
He also won a World Series with the Yankees in 2009, the most recent championship for the Yanks.

Damon has managed to maintain a strong appreciation with both fanbases, and that'll show up soon in pinstripes when he takes part in the Yankees' upcoming Old-Timers Game, with those rosters announced on Wednesday.
